The art museum of Sampilov

This museum can meet visitors with Buryat's painting, buddhistic icon – painting, traditional makes of native workers, mede by tree, horse hair, and bones. This museum has full collection of Buryat's masters. In exposition mixes the works, devoted to two schools – traditional and modern. A great interest is aroused by collection of work from «silver small pantry» of the museum.

The museum of Nature

In the exposition of this museum are the model of flora and fauna of Buryaria. Here are represented the geological history of the Baikal. The large hall are aroused a great interest, these halls devoted to the Baikal outskirts. At the museum are routinely organised the thematic collections.

The History Museum of Buryatia in the name of Hangalov

It is one of the oldest museums of Siberia (1923 year). There are the archeaological and religious collections, rare books and coins, rich collections of buddhistic and icons sculpture. There works the exhibition of modern art, represented the collection of buddhistic art and arts and crafts from India, China, Nepal, Tailand, Japan, Tibet, Mongolia, in the number of rare images of Budda.
At this museum are kept a model of Atlas of Tibet's medicine and canonic treatieses -   «Gandzhur» and «Dandzhur».

The Buryatia Ethnographic Museum of people

It is the open air museum, which have several historic objects, connected with a way of life and culture of Buryat's people. There are different complexes, such as archeaological, zvensky, baikal and buryat's complexes. At this museum live the representatives of animal world – a bear, wolf, deer, roe, camel.
The museum of science center of Buryatia. The exposition of this museum is rich of nephrites, decorative marble, landscape jaspers and various chalcedonies. Biological part consists of botanical collection of rare and disappear species. Here are represented the different Tibet's medicines and things of cult Buddhism. The collection of palaeolith epoch and collection of the government Hunnu, devoted to cult of XVII-XIX century are interested for visitors too. The hall expositions of ecology of Lake Baikal have the main facts about ecological and social problems of region development.

The Literary museum in the name of H. Namsaraeva

This museum meet visitors with the history of developing buryat's written language and literature, the life and works of creator buryta's literature H. Namsaraev and native poet N. Damdinov. Among the exhibits of the museum there is an original book of heroic epos  of people from the Central Asia «Geser», the collection of old saga - «uligeri», rare publications of canonic works of Tibet's and Buryat's medicine.
